About the Artist:

Paige is a self taught artist. While they have been involved in music and performance since they were a child, Paige didn’t explore physical art until early adulthood. They’ve always been drawn to art that feels loud and confrontational, and the stories that abstract can tell with only color and shape. They’re inspired by artists Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, and Franz Kline. Paige’s preferred medium is acrylic on canvas, and they enjoy painting abstract expressionism.

Paige returned to school this year, and is studying Art History. They hope to go on to gain their masters and work as a creative director.

They have been a Bloomington local for seven years, and are moving to Chicago this fall to further their knowledge of the arts.

Statement from the Artist:

“I have always been fascinated by bold lines, loud colors, and thick paint strokes.  Three years ago I began painting abstracts therapeutically, and grew to see my pain in a new light. This collective of paintings shares a personal story of self discovery, and the chronicles of physical and emotional pain.”
